Of crabs & love.

Today is John's birthday. Knowing that we are saving leave for our honeymoon, I whisked him off the weekend before to Turi Beach Resort. Boy, were we more than pleasantly surprised! The resort was beautiful with it's own beachfront. Our room was rustic - almost cottage-like and we spent many hours snoozing in the hammock by the water with our Bintang beers.

the Jetty out at sea. The walk's quite romantic.

shiok right?

So the other night we decided to go grab a seafood dinner at the kelong. Not only did I order 2 servings of crab (my favourite seafood but just for me. John doesn't like to work for his food), we ordered enough dishes for 8 people. Until now, I still can't quite figure out how we managed to clear the plates. Anybody who loves crab as much as I do should know by now that a hungry person eating crab is just like a vulture attacking her prey. I was breaking the shells in a frenzy, stuffing my face with the glorious flesh, sauce knuckle-high. It was a bad sight. It was like war. And in the midst of the madness, I heard this:

"seeing you eat crab, is enough for me."

You couldn't hear the softness of his voice but I did. I looked up and it was the most loving pair of eyes ever..

My love!

(you are awesome because you looked past the crab sauce on my cheek and there's still love.)
